NIA® (Neuromuscular Integrative Action®)

 

NIA ®  is a holistic fitness practice performed barefoot, whose main principle is Joy and Pleasure. NIA combines elements of dance, martial arts, and mindfulness techniques. The main principle of NIA is to move based on comfort and adapt each movement to your condition.

Self-Recovery Classes

NIA 5 stages 

  • The 5 stages of NIA are suitable for everyone and require no physical preparation

  • Designed to improve physical condition in cases of chronic problems and maintain good health

  • Consists of 5 movements

  • 1 - Rolling, 2 - Crawling, 3 - Crawling on all fours, 4 - Squatting, 5 - Walking

  • These movements are performed during natural early development

  • Our bodies are naturally programmed to perform them

  • Therefore, performing these movements in sequence awakens natural resources and engages all body systems

  • Despite their simplicity, these movements are highly effective

  • Each movement has many variations and adaptations

  • 5 stages of NIA - it's ongoing exploration and search for sence are of comfort and pleasure

  • To perform the 5 stages on the floor, knee pads and sometimes elbow pads are required

Classes are held online

  • You can make classes without video or with video

  • Before classes begin, please contact me to schedule a 20 minute individual demonstration, so you will know what to do when will come to the class.

  • In it I show adaptations of 5 movements that suit your needs and goals

  • It also adapted for restrictions, doctor's orders, chronic tension or pain.

  • Or the need to move athletically and quickly

  •  After the demonstration, welcome to the first class!
